UWF Heavyweight Championship
Dr. Death Steve Williams
vs.
Bam Bam Bigelow

Dr. Death Steve Williams (left) won the prestigious Triple Crown in Japan on several occasions.  Bam Bam Bigelow is one of the few wrestlers to match Williams' power and intensity.

In the 80s, two of the biggest and baddest wrestlers in the world were Bam Bam Bigelow and Dr. Death Steve Williams.

Williams was a two-sport collegiate star at the University of Oklahoma. He anchored the offensive line for Barry Switzer's Orange Bowl champion Sooners. As soon as the football season was over, Dr. Death would terrorize the NCAA wrestling scene. He placed multiple times in the NCAA tournament. He finished second in 1982, losing only to U.S. Olympian Jeff Blatnick. Williams actually beat Blatnick on other occasions.

Bam Bam Bigelow was also a highly recruited high school athlete, but off the field problems kept him out of college. Instead, he became a bounty hunter. As a display of his toughness, Bigelow shaved his head and had it tattooed.

Both men ended up in professional wrestling. Williams was a 290-pound unstoppable force that had a reputation of being the toughest man in the sport. Bigelow entered a couple of years later and quickly became a star. He was a 400-pounder with amazing athletic ability. He was a 400-pounder who could dropkick and cartwheel. Both wrestlers maintained their mean streak.

Both men became superstars in Japan, but worked for rival companies.

See the first U.S. meeting of two of the biggest super heavyweights of the 80s.

UWF Tag Team Championship
Masked Confusion
(B Brian Blair & Jim Brunzell)

vs.
Power Twins
(Kent Cole & Keith Cole)

B. Brian Blair (left) and Jim Brunzell were one of the most accomplished teams of the 1980s.

It's bad enough to have to wrestle someone that's 6-foot-4 and is 275 pounds of solid muscle.

Try having to wrestle two of them

That's the unenviable task of one of the most respected tag teams of the decade.

B. Brian Blair and Jim Brunzell, Masked Confusion, have the daunting task of meeting the Power Twins, Keith and Kent Cole, for the UWF tag team championship.

It will be Masked Confusion's speed and teamwork against the raw power and athleticism of identical twins that wrestle as one unit.

Bob Backlund
vs.
Russian Bear Ivan Koloff

Bob Backlund (left) and Ivan Koloff are both former WWF World heavyweight champions.

Two of the greatest stars of the 70s and 80s continue their classic feud.

Bob Backlund is a three-time WWF World heavyweight champion and has the third longest reign in the title's history, holding the belt for over four years. He turned back the greatest stars in wrestling in the early 80s.

The Russian Bear Ivan Koloff was one of the hated wrestlers in the world for three decades. In 1971, he scored one of the greatest upsets in wrestling history when he ended Bruno Sammartino's eight-year reign as WWWF World heavyweight champion. It was a victory so shocking, a sellout Madison Square Garden literally sat in stunned silence.

Backlund and Koloff feuded over the belt with Koloff coming precariously close to capturing the again.

This is a continuation of their great series.

UWF Women's Championship
Rockin' Robin
vs.
Candi Devine

Candi Devine poses with the AWA North American women's title

Two champions from different alliances collide

Rockin' Robin is a former WWF Women's Champion with a famous family. Her father was 60s star Grizzly Smith and her brothers are Jake "The Snake" Roberts and Sam Houston.

Candi Devine wrestled all over the world and is a multiple time AWA North American Women's Champion.
