I know he was only working part-time by 1984, but Oates doing a job in his hometown is odd. Was Ito getting any kind of push?

I think it was back to being called the National TV title by this point even though they still had the belt with the World Championship Wrestling logo.

Diamond, all I can figure was that they wrestled quite a bit at this time. Didn’t have a program but they had several matches in Columbus and around the territory, so maybe it was just time to lose one.
