Assume you mean Doug Somers? Just had a look and don't see anything.

Where did you hear it?

His team with Buddy Rose and Sherri Martel was one of the few bright spots of the late '80s AWA. RIP

Doug was on some of the first JCP shows I ever saw back in the fall of 1973 (when he had a very short stint there).

His second run for Crockett lasted from October 1975 till February of 1977. Then he came back in September of 1979 and lasted until July of 1980. Always a prelim guy who traded wins/loses at the houses but lost to main eventers on TV. This was before he went blonde. Had more of a Bob Orton Jr. look in those days.

RIP

Enjoyed his AWA team with Buddy Rose and also his enhancement run in 1991 WCW, even got a PPV appearance losing to Van Hammer during that time. Solid worker everywhere he went.

Sad news. Enjoyed watching him tag-teamed with Buddy Rose and were handed the AWA World Tag belts on a --- COUNT OUT! Boy was I pissed!
R.I.P. 'Pretty Boy' Doug Somers.
