GSP keeps pushing back the time when he will be ready, so Dana says that Romero is getting the next shot. I don't see Bisping beating Romero (unless they declare it a weapons match), so GSP will have to look for another guy he *might* be able to beat (I think Bisping would have won.)
I was so glad to hear this. The whole thing was just so insulting to the division. It wouldn't have been so bad had Bisping not defended against Henderson but a deserving contender has been denied way too long

Now they're talking about Romero-Whittaker for an interim belt and the winner of GSP-Bipsing getting a title shot or unification or whatever. Poor Michael's knee is hurting until he can fight GSP, er, I mean, until he's ready to take on the #1 contender!
Most believe the whole issue is GSP's deal with Under Armour getting in the way. Nothing more.
GSP is not budging on certain terms.
Believe me UFC wanted that fight more than anyone. They desperately need big box office fights. Most know WME-IMG is in a position that they need these fights very badly. They need 600k+ PPV buys. Romero vs Bisping might do 350k. No one else save maybe...maybe Jons vs Cormier (with a strong undercard) will be able to do those type of numbers.
Why do you think UFC signed off on the Mayweather fight? Because they were getting a big percentage of McGregor's purse. They need some big cash soon.

Absolutely. Whittaker has an awesome gas tank and he's just as fast as Romero. I think lisping has a great chance against Romero.Bis is very hard to takedown and he does have good hands. Again, I'm not too impressed with Romero's gas tank. Bisping can easily go 5 rounds, not sure about Romero
Romero will probably be well served to go in wrestling. He hits as hard as anybody but Whittaker is a way better boxer. Other hand, Whittaker probably can't stop Romero's TDs. It's a real interesting fight.
