Prichard on his podcast said those early figures were making guys 6 figures in a year so doesn't sound that far fetched

Jim Cornette's hatred of the Insane Clown Posse is hilarious to me for some reason.

"The racquet really was loaded with steel chains and other damaging items, so the Express occasionally injured the other workers by stiffing them with racquet shots.

The lack of places for guys to go and learn the business is a major reason why the talent today is not on the same level as past stars. The lack of competition also leads to the guys being over exposed. The big bumps and weapons are also far more frequent, which hurts the workers physically."

make your mind up there Jim!"

I'm sure he was thinking more like the endless chair shots to the head, light tube death matches etc.

"An episode of “Superman” in 1953 revealed that wrestling was fake. People knew beforehand, but this put it out to a national audience."

The way I remember this episode, "No Holds Barred" dealt with a bunch of crooks who used a wrestler who was taught a "paralyzer" hold to win his matches. A "college wrestling champion" beat the criminal wrestler by overcoming the paralyzer with Superman's help. I remember one line in the show when the crooked wrestler said that college wrestling champions are tough. This leads me to believe 60 years later that kayfabe was not broken. I know others here have more information about this, including some pro wrestlers who were in the episode.

Yeah, everyone who I've seen talk about it makes it sound like Sullivan was mistaken.
