Well, in 1977, anyway...

The spring 1986 match with Brody wasn't Leon White's last in the AWA. He went to work in Austria for Otto Wanz and then returned in late 1986 for a bit. He stepped out for another Austrian tour and then came back again around March and April of 1987 before heading out for good. His nickname was the Baby Bull prior to his Austrian tour. After returning, he was nicknamed Bull Power with the explanation that his newborn son was now the Baby Bull.

I don't know if the riot thing after the Inoki match was legit. It seemed fairly calm in the stands. However, at one point Sumo Hall in Tokyo did let New Japan know that if fans didn't stop throwing seat cushions and trash at the ring after several instances of such behavior, the promotion would be barred from the arena. So perhaps there's a connection between Vader and that.

I have no idea if Baba and Inoki met at that joint show, but have heard that New Japan legend and executive Seiji Sakaguchi was generally the go between if they needed to speak on matters of state.

Is WWE back to giving the guys the amount of time they need?

Funk laughs that the WWE gave him 2 ½ minutes to cover his 40 year career at his Hall of Fame induction...

That was the ROH version...I still have a RF version to review someday. Not sure if that's the one that he is drinking beer in or not.

I wouldn't mind seeing that one. I've always enjoyed gang, starting when he was Crusher Broomfield. What I'd really like to see is a documentary piece, with extensive interviews, about ICW, though it would have been better when Savage, Angelo and Pez Whatley were still alive. You could still get plenty of great material with the guys who are still around, but they would offer some unique perspectives. One of my lottery fantasies is to bankroll such a thing. Now if the numbers would just co-operate.

Saw the trailer for that and it looked interesting. I'd love to see her do a creer interview, including GLOW, POWW/AWA and WWF.

Vince mentioned this on SBGs DVD regarding the TVs..

Superstar Billy Graham snubbed Bundy twice after they left the WWF so he’s on Bundy’s **** list. Graham would steal TV’s from hotel rooms.

Good recap. Interesting that Bundy didn't talk more his 1984-85 run in Memphis. He was there quite a while and since it was a promotion that was very centered around Lawler, had some long road trips, and wasn't known for great pay, you'd think he'd have plenty to say.

The Bundy shoot was very entertaining. And it wasn't RF or Highspots either, but I've not heard of that company putting out others. Bundy needs to be in the WWE Hall of Fame. I think I'd enjoy his acceptance speech.

I really enjoyed Bundy's time in Memphis. Lawler and him had a match once and Bundy said Lawler wouldn't last a minute with him. So for every minute the match lasted, Lawler got $100. So right after the match started, Lawler hit the floor and stayed there for about 5 minutes or so, with Bundy in the ring complaining the whole time. Plus he had a good team with Rude and was the getaway car driver when Rude took the baseball bat to Lawler's car.

I believe the WON reported a few years ago that he was offered 8,000 to appear and be inducted but Bundy wanted a WM payday to be part of it.
