At the beginning of this match, the announcers say that Terry Boulder (a green Hulk Hogan) won the NWA World title for "37 seconds." What's the story on that?

He had had a match with Race the previous Saturday in Dothan that saw him beat Race but have the decision reversed. It was built up to a rematch that drew a crowd so big they had to move the card to an outdoor stadium. This was a rare case of Fuller only booking these matches in Dothan as opposed to taking it around the horn. I supposed Race only had dates open for the single shots.

yes, i was there in the good ol Houston County Farm Cnter in Dothan Alabama for Boulder's firdst match with Harley Race. The scheduled match was actually Ron Fuller vs Harley Race. Fuller was injured earlier in the night by Ox Baker via the Heart Punch. Boulder took Ron's place in the match with Race. Anyhowz, ref gets knocked down, Boulder backdrops Race over the top rope. Second ref comes in as Boulder suplexes Race back into the ring, second ref sees the pin and does the count. While everyone is on there feet going crazy first ref comes back in and dq's Boulder for the over the top rope throw and gives the belt back to Harley. The Farm Center was packed to the max 5K that night, few weeks later the rematch is held at Rip Hewes Stadium with near 8K in attendance.

The *real* question is: Why didn't Hogan add "doing Dusty Finishes before Dusty" to the list of things he accomplished in his book, right next to throwing the 850 lb. Andre into the sun?
