What if VKM books his friend POTUS, Donald Trump, at WrestleMania next year:

WrestleMania 34 at the New Orleans Superdome, which will start out with Vince McMahon coming out. Vince introduces none other than the President of the United States. Trump out to 'Hail to the Chief" and marches down the aisle to the ring with a full military escort and flag bearers. Trump speaks, saying how the WWE is making wrestling great again just as he is making America great again, and he then leads the audience in reciting the Pledge of Allegiance.

Fireworks go off. Show starts.

Would Trump be booed or cheered? The thing is he'd probably consider actually doing this, given that he's such a wrestling fan and he can flash his WWE HOF ring

Considering his presidency, and conduct, resembles a wrestle-mania storyline more than anything else..........

Not that I'd be there anyway, but if I went without the prior knowledge that he would be there (otherwise, I wouldn't there at all), I would get up out of my seat and haul my ass right out of the Superdome.

The scary thing is I'm not sure if it makes a bigger mockery of the Presidency or WWE.

Oh, please. You do understand its all a show, right? I mean, the contrast is clear:

One is a total complete fake that has no redeeming social values. The other is a wrestling group. Please get real.

Well played.

Honestly, you wouldn't see me there anyway - not enough interest in today's product.Trump, of course, is a carny, and most of us here realize that (with a few possible exceptions). If it turned into some big political brouhaha, it wouldn't really be any different than several concerts I've attended where musicians who are liberals like me express their opinions through and in between songs.

And it could be worse. I could be somewhere wondering what Tojo was doing that weekend.

If he appeared at WM, the roof would come off, no matter how unpopular he actually was at that time.

Like Sid Vicious in ECW, we marks seem to be so desperate for anything to cheer.

He appeared at the GGG fight I went to in late 2015 at MSG and the booing was deafening.

Which guarantees he wouldn't go. He only goes to events where he's promised that the crowd will cheer him. Even Vince couldn't control that many people.

Vince could promise Trump he'll make sure they turn up the fake crowd cheers on the tv broadcast. show probably airs on a five or ten second delay, more than enough for somebody in the truck to hit a button and crank up the cheers

I have watched the Tyson-Spinks fight dozens of times, since it is a staple of ESPN Classic. Trump gets introduced to the crowd prior to the fight, and gives a double thumbs down gesture to encourage the crowd to boo him.

The introduction of Trump is pretty over the top: "He is a a man whose success in business epitomizes the American Dream. The author of the year's best selling book...his vision and accomplishment make him the quintessential entrepreneur..."

Trump's introduction comes at the 1:31 mark, which was also exactly as long as the fight itself lasted.

I wonder if Vince would cut him off for saying the WWE is making WRESTLING great again.

"we're not rasslin, Mr President!"

That aside, it would be a good move for WWE to bring Trump in to WM34. I mean imagine it, forget WM3, forget WM32, WrestleMania 34 would have "the largest attendance ever for a sporting event" there would easily be 250,000+ inside the Superdome.

They need to have Trump endorse Roman after he beats Brock for the title. That would be the final push he needs to be accepted as the top guy of the company.
