Same as the other thread. BT defines the behavior by who commits it, not by what the behavior is. Basic intellectual dishonesty.

Remember when the so-called President said he was going to donate his salary? Well he just accepted his second paycheck.
Remember when he said Mexico was going to pay for the wall? He has asked Congress to appropriate the $25 billion of taxpayer money to cover costs.
Remember when he said he was going to divest from his businesses? Changed his mind.
Remember when he said he was going to release his tax returns? Changed his mind.
Remember when he said he wasn't going to go on vacation or play golf? 5 of the last 7 weekends he went on vacation and played golf, costing taxpayers $11.1 million.
Remember when he said he was going to use American steel to build these dangerous pipelines? Russian steel arrived last week for the Keystone Pipeline XL.
Remember when he said would defeat ISIS in 30 days? He still doesn't even have a plan.
Remember when he said he was going to appropriate money to HBCUs? He lied to get a photo-op.
Remember when he said he was going to drain the swamp of Washington insiders? His cabinet is filled with lobbyists, oil and Wall Street executives.
Remember when he said he wasn't going to cut social security and Medicare? The Republican bill does just this.
Remember when he said that nobody on his campaign has any communications with Russian govt? 7 of his people have now admitted they spoke and/or met with Russian officials, after they lied and got caught.
Remember when he said that the Obamacare replacement would cover more people at lower cost? The AHCA that the GOP and 45 are now pushing; they now admit will cover fewer people at a higher cost.
ALL of this was painfully apparent to anyone who took a second to research his past business decisions, and bankruptcies.
Trump is out for Trump. Period.
He will say or do anything to get the advantage and then do what what is in HIS best interest.
Half the country knew that.
His name alone - means Trump. TRUMP. As in you've been Trumped.
Well, thanks to his selling points of racism, and a wall - we now have this.
A shambles of what America used to be.
Share so everyone can remember what a liar this so-called president (45) truly is.

Trump met with the Irish leader on thursday and said he has always loved the Irish, and wanted to share his favorite Irish saying

Here is Trumps Irish saying..... except its from a NIGERAN poem!!!! He said:

‘As we stand together with our Irish friends, I’m reminded of an Irish proverb – and this is a good one, this is one I like, I’ve heard it for many, many years and I love it. Always remember to forget the friends that proved untrue, but never forget to remember those that have stuck by you.’

--------------------
When I said that was the most ignorant thing I ever heard, I didn't realize you were still talking.

That last bit just got more solid facts behind it, as the WSJ says The Prez will be a big beneficiary of the latest GOP Tax Plan
quote:
"The first big tax cut moving through Congress under President Donald Trump would likely benefit the president himself, potentially saving him millions of dollars in taxes on his rental income next year and even more money on other income if he wins a second term..."

"...Mr. Trump’s decision to continue owning his businesses as president without running them expands the tax’s effect on him and thus makes him benefit more from the proposed repeal, which would take effect in 2018, according to accountants and tax lawyers."

As CM's quoted piece noted, Trump is out for Trump. Never ever forget that. Anything positive that does come out of it for the country is almost certainly going to be due to the Law of Unintended Consequences....

Meanwhile this ******* pig who eats off a gold table is cutting funding for Meals On Wheels, which feeds indigent senior citizens.

The program costs exactly as much as his weekly vacations (which remember he pays HIMSELF for out of YOUR money).

I suppose any harm he does is also an 'unintended consequence'. He just doesn't give a **** about anybody but himself.

And declare that donation to the IRS as a $399,999 charitable deduction.

Of course.

Yeah, well, Trump boasts about his philanthropy. But his giving falls short of his words.

To wit: Pretty much every. Single. Time. He said on TV that he was going to be giving this or that charity a cheque, it never showed up. And this goes back years, during his The Apprentice days right on up to today.

I'll believe he gave his salary to charity when I see the tax receipt.

The Story Thus Far:
quote:
Trump signed only one substantive piece of legislation since February 20, repealing a minor Obama administration rule that made it harder for the mentally ill to buy guns. Otherwise, in Month Two his impact on the laws of the United States consisted of renaming a veteran’s health clinic in western Pennsylvania and signing two symbolic bills about the importance of encouraging more women in science and technology fields. His push to repeal Obamacare is stumbling on Capitol Hill; his budget seems dead on arrival; his revised travel ban, like the original, has been blocked by a judge. He made big splashes with executive orders purporting to roll back Obama-era environmental rules, but in reality they merely announced his desire to roll back those rules. He did fill four more slots in his Cabinet, but three slots remain empty, and below those headline jobs the vacancy problem in his administration is becoming extreme: Overall, according to the Partnership for Public Service, he has only filled 20 of the 553 key positions that require Senate confirmation—and has not even picked a nominee for 497 of them.
And that doesn't even touch on his "30-Day Daesh plan", which wasn't done in 30 days....and looks an awfully lot like Obama's.

And leave us not forget that he does not have the obstructionist Congress that Obama had to deal with throughout most of his term in Office, so that's not an excuse that he could play, is it?

Now, it's not unusual for any Presidential candidate to promise a 101 things done before his first 100 days are up and fall far short of that. But this Administration has had so many pratfalls -- Flynn's resignation, for example -- that it seems more intent on trying to clean up its messes (and not doing particularly well on that front, thanks to the in-fighting between the various White House factions) than trying to actually govern.

And given the week ahead -- FBI Director Comey’s testimony before Congress re: Russia and any wiretaps on Trump by the previous Administration; Judge Neil Gorsuch’s confirmation hearings, and; the "Trumpcare" vote on Thursday -- it may be the toughest week yet for the new President.

And that's with Gorsuch almost certainly making it through the Senate hearings....

Just had this conversation with a former Economics Professor who is VERY, VERY much a Goldwater conservative.

With the budget: if he cuts the budget and lowers taxes the people who will feel the pain are the people who support him, the red states get the lions share of Government Money, per capita, and in a very literal sense the red states are funded by the blue states, which tend to be the largest states in terms of population. These red states have Republican representatives who want to get reelected, they will not go along with severe budget cuts to their constituents, it will not happen so the budget is facing that battle.

Foreign Policy: As long as Trump keeps rattling his saber, our relationships will get worse with both friend and foe. Germany should pay for protection? There is no longer and East and West Germany. Germany is fully capable of protecting itself, arguably we would still be fighting WWII in the European Theater in some form if Germany did not try to fight a multiple front war, not went into Russia and defended itself.

North Korea is dangerous? The Home Depot does not concern itself with the crazy guy on the corner selling hammers.

We are expanding our Military? We already outspend the rest of the world, except maybe Russia, and that is debatable, exponentially.

Jobs: Some jobs are not coming back, he likes to talk about our coal miners, the coal miners are no longer guys with picks and shovels with a light on their helmet that many think about romantically, to be a coal miner you better be able to run or fix very advanced, technological equipment, the days of a mind that is weak and a back that is strong is over. Factory jobs, to keep overhead down much of that work that used to be done by people are done by machines and it will continue to become more automated.

Security-We live in the safest place in the world. We have more criminals in prison per capita than anyplace else in the world, we spend more on homeland security and secure borders than any other country, we have more police than any other country per capita, than everywhere except some countries in South America and those numbers are debatable and open to interpretation as to why. The fact that we have a high murder rate speaks much more to us than any immigrant population.

Some facts he brought up:

The odds are you will never be a victim of violent crime. If you are, the odds are about 9 to 1 that the perpetrator will be someone you either love or have loved in the past.

His take on Trump-Demagogue on the level we have not seen other than talk radio going back to Father Coughlin, Trump himself he does not find scary, what is scary are his followers who have blind faith in him because of his ability to connect with people, he says the same thing about Obama, who he sees as someone who had a large part of the population supporting him blindly because of his persona.

His take on Hillary Clinton is, this was an election that was appalling to him, both spoke like demagogues, Hillary made him nervous because she is an entrenched big-spending demagogue.

Climate Change-Not sure what can be done about it, but to ignore it is madness. His reason, the earth was always round, gravity always existed and Mt Everest was always the tallest mountain in the world, the earth always revolved around the sun, just because some did not believe it, doesn't mean it is not true.

Finally, Trump outworked Clinton and his campaign was smarter than anyone realized. They knew they could not win the popular vote, they knew the polls were pretty accurate, so like Admiral Kirk in 'Wrath of Khan' they changed the way the game was played.

All good points (especially the Kobyashi-Maru bit), except for his reasoning about climate change.

The earth is not round, it is a spheroid.

Gravity did not always exist, it came into existence around 10 to the power of -43 seconds after the birth of the universe.

Mount Everest is only the mountain reaching the highest altitude. The tallest mountain is Mauna Kea in Hawaii.

And the earth does not revolve around the sun, it revolves around the barycentre of the solar system which happens to be very close to the centre of the sun.

And now tell me that pub quizzes aren't a good use of my time!

I'm not sure I understand the question, since Sam was talking about Donnie holding yet another Fred didn't love him pep rally. Sad!

But, the aggrieved group for March, April, and every month until Donnie resigns or is removed from office, is known as "The People of the United States of America".

Gotcha. My bad. I thought there was gonna be another "I'm a victim" rally. In January, there was the women's march January 21. February there was the immigrant rally. March there was once again a women's march. My money for April is liberal whites marching against white privilege.

And it really needs to be noted that unlike virtually every time he does this, he didn't say jack sh*t about Comey and the FBI. Normally, whomever has "done him wrong" publicly gets a very public rebuttal. But this time? Nada.

Instead, it was a standard campaign-style rally, with the usual promises: "We will build a great border wall. We will stop radical Islamic terrorism. We are going to drain the swamp of government corruption." As well, tailored to his audience, was a promise to bring back the coal industry from virtual extinction. Which, along with his "drain the swamp" promises, needs to be taken with several large handfuls of salt: Given the abundance of cheaper natural gas and the costs and pollution of coal, it's not too likely that the consumers will belly up to that bar.

Y'see, here's the thing, as Rubio said in the closing days of the campaign, "Obviously, we all understand the importance of this presidential race. I would just ask everybody this: Can this country afford to have a president under investigation by the FBI? Think of the trauma that would do to this country."

And yet, as Rick Klein and Shushannah Walshe reported this morning,
quote:
Then there’s the oddity of now knowing that both major candidates were under FBI investigation during the last campaign. The only one to pay a price was the one who was formally exonerated – not once, but twice.
And as both Nixon and Clinton found out, it is never a good thing for a president to have the FBI, with its nearly infinite resources and sweeping investigative powers, on [your] tail.

still trying to figure out how I'm a bad guy for daring to question the intelligence of Trump voters, to the point where we were blamed for "costing" the dems the elections by being "mean" to republicans. Yet I'm a libtard? People are ghetto thugs? that's the disconnect I don't get. Rush and his ilk have been calling the left nasty names for decades yet when Dems finally call out morons for voting against their self interest, we are somehow mean.

Boy, Trump sure knows how to bring them out of the sewers. This wasn't mentioned here, but I hope know one condones what Snoop Doggy *******t's video in which he has a gun to Trump's head. Not to be undone,a never was rapper, lil Boo Foo threatened to pimp out Melania.

Sorry, I am enjoying the reaction of libtards and ghetto thugs.

still trying to figure out how I'm a bad guy for daring to question the intelligence of Trump voters, to the point where we were blamed for "costing" the dems the elections by being "mean" to republicans. Yet I'm a libtard? People are ghetto thugs? that's the disconnect I don't get. Rush and his ilk have been calling the left nasty names for decades yet when Dems finally call out morons for voting against their self interest, we are somehow mean.
I'm not calling you a libtard, because you can have a reasonable discussion without foaming at the mouth and attacking the opposition. I reserve those comments for the unhinged loons that attack speakers and damage property because others may dare to disagree with them.

Yeah, ghetto thugs. If the shoe fits, wear it. What the hell would you call that video a one trick pony ,(ghetto thug) has been made? Also, threatening to pimp out the First Lady? Seriously, could you imagine if a white entertainer made a video of shooting Obama and another threatened to pimp out michelle? They're career would come to a halt. Yeah, Nugent made stupid comments i don't condone, but where is he in his career?

I appreciate not being part of that definition but my point remains the same.

For years and years the GOP, the right wing media, and it's voters ripped apart the left and called them names. When the left responded in the last couple years and took the right to task for what they felt were their failings, suddenly the left was "mean." It's hypocrisy of the highest order.

If I had a dollar for every conservative who's called people on the left names worse than deplorable I'd be a rich man.

About the same place as snoop. both are essentially touring nostalgia acts playing their hits for people who were teenagers when the music was popular. No one is confusing snoop or Ted for rocket surgeons.

Pretty much. When Limbaugh and Co. were calling liberals and Democrats everything but human, the Right lapped it up with a spoon and howled for more. For over 20 years.

Now you got high-profile folks getting into the act to describe the right in the very same manner, all of a sudden it's unfair and mean and they're "snowflakes".

Bullsh*t. It's the Right not liking the fact that people are throwing their attitudes back in their faces. And the Right's finding they aren't liking it any too much.

Warning to the Right: It's going to get far FAR worse in the coming months.

Remember the old saying, "Can dish it out, but can't take it?" The Far Right is starting to look like George Cannon in a toe hold.

Looks good on them.
