Jack,

I recently purchased some clippings from 1972. One in particular caught my attention. It is dated 11-17-72 from St. Louis. On that card, Harley Race is listed against you and Johnny Valentine in a handicap match. The stipulation was that Harley had to win one fall from each of you in one hour, or loose the match.

The results listed that you and JV won when Johnny and Harley battle to a one hour draw. Do you remember anything about this match? Could you share some details with us if you do? Thanks.

Course he wasn't old in '72, either...

So long from the Sunshine State!

Me too. Harley was 29 then.

Talking about who the older guy in shape was, JV was 44.
