Jack,

Wondering about the so-called "hostile territories". Elsewhere Lou Thesz has talked about times when he was champ where he would go into a territory to work and the promoter there would tell his opponent to shoot and take the belt.

Did you ever run into this? How did you deal with it? How did the NWA deal with this sort of thing?

My definition of a hostile territory was one that was poorly promoted and I couldn't make money. Nobody ever tried to get cute with me a in a title match.
