I imagine they were interesting and intense matches, since you both had great amateur wrestling backgrounds and were excellent athletes.
Do you have any particular memeories of being in the ring with Miller? I assume he was probably the heel?
Bill was always the heel. Bill and I were good friends and he always went of his way to help me and make me look good. After Australia we worked a program in St. Louis where he wrestled as the Crimson Mask.
Jack, your mentioning of wrestling Miller when he was the Crimson Knight (I think this was around 1970?) brought back memories of why I miss professional wrestling from the 1960's and 1970's.
Of course, I mostly miss the talents like you, Jerry Brisco, the Funks, Lou Thesz, etc
Also, wrestlers were more free to wrestle in different territories. For example, when Miller was wrestling you as a heel and eventually got a title shot against Dory Funk Jr in St Louis in May 1970, he was also appearing as Dr Big Bill Miller as a face on the East Coast in the old WWWF and doing jobs for the likes of George "The Animal Steel" and Ivan Koloff!
